MIX can also refer to a old computer instruction set designed by Knuth. The .mix extension is used in some software implementations of MIX (no hardware implementations are known to exist), but what that extension is used for differs by the implementation (e.g. MIXPC uses it for compiled program decks, represented as plain text files with CRLF line endings). --Zzo38 (talk) 04:42, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
