S98

S98 is a file format that stores a log of register writes to sound chips, such as the Yamaha YM2608. It's commonly used to store music from the NEC PC-98 platform.
According to version 3 of the specification, the following sound chips are supported:
- General Instrument AY-3-8910 ("PSG")
- Yamaha YM2149 ("PSG")
- Yamaha YM2203 ("OPN")
- Yamaha YM2608 ("OPNA")
- Yamaha YM2612 ("OPN2")
- Yamaha YM2151 ("OPM")
- Yamaha YM3526 ("OPL")
- Yamaha YM2413 ("OPLL")
- Yamaha YM3812 ("OPL2")
- Yamaha YMF262 ("OPL3")
- Texas Instruments SN76489 ("DCSG")
