PAKEXE

PAKEXE is an executable compression utility for DOS. It was developed by Sergio Artic. The program and its documentation apparently use the Bosnian language.
The way it works is unusual, and somewhat crude.

To create or execute a compressed file, PKZIP (see ZIP) must be available (in your current directory, or your search path).
By way of example, assume you compress a file named "TEST.EXE". PAKEXE replaces it with two files:
- A new "TEST.EXE" file, which is just a copy of the "$$PAKEXE.EXE" file from the distribution.
- A file named "$TEST.ZIP", which is a ZIP archive of the original file.
Identification
Undetermined. Copies of the "$$PAKEXE.EXE" file could be identified in any number of ways. But the file is compressed with WWPACK, and may not have any nice plaintext signatures.
