MIX (Picture It!)
From Just Solve the File Format Problem
MIX is the native image format of Microsoft's Picture It! photo editing software.
It is based on Microsoft Compound File format. It is related to PhotoDraw's MIX format, but is not identical to it. It is also a variation of the FlashPix format. Software was rebranded as Microsoft Digital Image in 2003 and had switched to using PNG Plus as the native format.

Format Information
Four versions of MIX formats exist.
They can be distinguished by the header inside the CompObj file within the OLE container.
