LB, aka Low Bitrate is a audio format optimized for low bitrates (44kHz, stereo at the default level: ~20 kbps), and can produce quite good quality at this bitrate. The player and packer were both created by Dmitry Shmunk. The player & packer are both for DOS, but it has a Windows player (not packer).

Identification

Apparently the LB files packed with LBPack start with 'R' 'I' 'F' 'F' ?? ?? ?? ?? 'L' 'B' 'i' 't', which it's based on RIFF.
