Adobe Acrobat Pro is PDF creation and editing software. A PDF can be altered or processed to correct errors or issues that may cause PDF to print incorrectly, the PreFlight tool[1] for Print Production can be used to validate or normalize a PDF for print or archiving. Profiles can be created, imported and exported to a KFP file.[2]
File Information
KFP files are XML files containing the preflight policies, conditions, fixups instructions to change a PDF.[3]

Preflight profiles are now organized into Libraries and can be exported imported and use the extension KFPL. Library is a 7-Zip files containing all profiles and library information.[4]
