From Just Solve the File Format Problem
EverGreenCoin is a cryptocurrency with a similar system to Bitcoin, but redesigned so as to be more environmentally friendly, with a better carbon footprint. This was done in reaction to the heavy power usage (and associated environmental problems) in "mining" Bitcoin. EverGreenCoin is run by a nonprofit organization.
