ARTIPACK is the signature of a compressed installer-archive format used by Artisoft, makers of LANtastic.

The name of the file is usually INSTALL.PAK, sometimes INSTALLT.PAK.

Discussion

The INSTALL.EXE or INSTALLT.EXE DOS program often included with ARTIPACK files has documentation suggesting that it can be told to cleanly extract the contents of an ARTIPACK file. More research needed -- no luck getting it to behave.

The format uses LZHUF compression.

Identification

Files start with ASCII "ARTIPACK". The next two bytes are observed to be 00 01.
