[edit] File Information
PDG files are proprietary and normally contain raster data, but can also contain text. Compression is usually CCITT, DjVu, PNG, and JPG. PDG files generally have a 140 byte header which begins with hex values "484802
", followed by a byte indicating compression. This is also referenced at byte "0xE", with the next byte, "0xF" being the "version" of the PDG file.[5][6]
