Husqvarna-Viking[1] is a Swedish company with a sewing machine manufacturing division. Computerized embroidery machines have been in production since the early 1990's with support for a specialized memory card, floppy disk, and USB connections.

HUS embroidery files are design files and were used throughout the 1990's and were replaced by the VIP format.[2][3]

HUS files can have hex values 5BAFC800, 5BFFC800, or 5DFCC800 for the first 4 bytes.
