Sony ARW is a raw image format used by some Sony digital cameras. It is based on TIFF.

Format
Apparently, there are two main TIFF IFDs, containing reduced-size images. The full-resolution image is in a subIFD of the first IFD. There is also an Exif IFD, with a MakerNote.
Identification
The subIFD of the first TIFF IFD has Compression code 32767.
