Ntergaid was an early software developer specializing in hypermedia and multimedia authoring tools for DOS and later Windows. ^[1]HyperWriter! was a authoring tool and a runtime application .^[2] Was later sold in 1996.^[3]

• HyperWriter version 2 was released in 1990.^[4]
• HyperWriter version 3 was released in 1992.^[5][6]
• HyperWriter version 4 was released in 1994.^[7][8]

HyperWriter files have a main file HW3, HW4 which contain the ascii header HyperWriter! and can contain supporting files HWA, HWI, HWN, HWT.

• HyperWriter 3 uses the HW3 extension.
• HyperWriter 4 uses the HW4 extension.
