Wordcruncher is a text indexing, retrieval, and analysis software developed at Brigham Young University under the name ETC[1] in the early 1980's[2]. Marketed under the ETC (Electronic Text Corporation), The Portals Project, and Johnston & Co. Originally called the BYU Concordance Program[3], it also has been licensed to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for viewing scriptures under the LDSView title[4].
