Substance is a suite of tools for dealing with 3D materials from Adobe, and the Substance Source library of models to use with these tools.
.SBS files are main source Substance Designer projects based on XML, while .sbsar files are compiled and can be opened in a wider range of programs.[1]
.SPP files are Substance Painter project files. They are HDF5 binary files with the ascii values .HDF.[2]
.SBSAR files are Substance 3D asset files[3] are in the 7-Zip archival package format.
