The Structured Data project is an initiative at Wikimedia (the parent organization of Wikipedia) to standardize metadata formats used in its Commons repository of files (images, video, audio, etc.). It is connected to Wikidata, the structured data system using Wikibase, a collaborative database associated with the MediaWiki wiki software.
