Format details
A MIF file is evidently a PKWARE DCL Implode-compressed PCX file.
Identification
It seems likely that the intermediate PCX file always begins with bytes 0a 05 01 08
, and that the same compression settings are always used. If so, a MIF file always begins with bytes (hex) 00 06 14 14 08 80
.
