That's a shared file used by multiple X programs, right? Not saying this page couldn't use a bigger redesign, but how about breaking "Specific systems" into subsections, with a new subsection for "X-Windows"? Jsummers (talk) 12:24, 22 September 2018 (UTC)

The X resource manager is actually independent from the X window system, although it is what it is most commonly used with. They may be loaded from a shared file, or from separate files, or from window properties, but the same file format is used. --Zzo38 (talk) 23:22, 6 October 2021 (UTC)
