Windows Movie Maker

Windows Movie Maker was video edit software included with Windows starting in 2000 with Windows ME. Later in 2009 it was renamed to Windows Live Movie Maker. It has now been discontinued in 2017[1][2].
File Information
Project files for Movie Maker do not contain actual video files only references to the path of original media. The two versions of Movie Maker are not compatible with each other[3][4].
MSWMM is the project file extension used in the original Windows Movie Maker, they are in the "OLE2" document container format.
WLMP is the project file extension used in Windows Live Movie Maker, they are in the XML file format.
