ARG is a compressed archive utility, and its native .arg file format. It was developed by Igor Pavlov. It uses Huffman coding.

Pavlov is also the author of 7-Zip, though 7-Zip does not support ARG format.

Identification

An ARG file starts with byte 0x00, and ends with 0x01.
