ToyBox icon is an icon format associated with ToyBox (including ToyBox II), a graphical menu system for DOS developed by Virtual Magic Software.
ToyBox was succeeded by Magic Desk -- see Magic Desk icon. Unfortunately, while the ToyBox and Magic Desk icon formats are often indistinguishable, they use different color palettes, and must be interpreted differently.
[edit] Identification
Known files start with 0x1f 0x1f
, and are 515 bytes in size.
The byte at offset 2 is observed to be either 0x00
or 0xff
.
Note that this does not necessarily distinguish the format from Magic Desk icon.
