Ntergaid was an early software developer specializing in hypermedia and multimedia authoring tools for DOS and later Windows. [1]HyperWriter! was a authoring tool and a runtime application .[2] Was later sold in 1996.[3]

Version Information
- HyperWriter version 2 was released in 1990.[4]
- HyperWriter version 3 was released in 1992.[5][6]
- HyperWriter version 4 was released in 1994.[7][8]
Format Information
HyperWriter files have a main file HW3, HW4 which contain the ascii header HyperWriter!
and can contain supporting files HWA, HWI, HWN, HWT.
- HyperWriter 3 uses the HW3 extension.
- HyperWriter 4 uses the HW4 extension.
