This page describes the NovaMind file format, 'nmind'. NovaMind is a commercial mind mapping software application, originally for the Mac and now Windows as well. The file format can be created, read and manipulated using the NovaMind software application.
The application is described in the Wikipedia page on NovaMind. The official web site is at http://www.novamind.com/. The latest version as of 2012 is NovaMind 5. The file format has changed at all or most of the major version upgrades; older versions cannot read files created by newer versions, and newer versions may have to import (rather than simply open) older files.
The file extension is .nmind and the MIME Type is not known.
