iCloud backups are iOS backups stored in iCloud instead of the hard drive.
Confirmed ways to download
These are CONFIRMED ways to download backups from iCloud. Sadly, most of these are made for law enforcement and may be costly or otherwise hard to obtain.
- iLoot (free open source software! But you need command line knowlage.)
- iPhone backup extractor (freeware and has user friendly gui, requires paid license for more than 4 files open at once, also can download partially so your hard drive has a break)
- Elcomsoft Phone Breaker (requires law enforcement to download iCloud backups)
- Cellebrite UFED Cloud
- Oxygen Forensics
Possibly downloads backups
These are tools that MAY be able to download backups, but this is not confirmed.
Does NOT download backups
Pure scams. They just download other iCloud data and not the backups.
