A Poser Bump Map (BUM) is a file used by a program called Poser for storing bump maps, which are a variety of bitmaps that represent the texture of a rough 3-D surface. BUM files are actually in the same format as Windows BMP files, and can be opened in most graphic programs if the extension is renamed to .bmp.
