WinMiPS .PIC is a raster image format associated with the WinMiPS astronomical image processing software, and its successor, Iris.
WinMiPS is variously capitalized as WinMiPS, WinMIPS, or Winmips. It is not related to the WinMIPS64 instruction set simulator.
