Vector Markup Language (VML) is a two-dimensional vector graphics format developed by Microsoft.
VML is based on XML, and is usually embedded in an HTML file. It is supported by Internet Explorer versions 5 through 9, and by some versions of Microsoft Office. It is becoming less common, in favor of SVG.
