The CMU Andrew Toolkit image is a format developed at Carnegie Mellon University in conjunction with the Andrew system. It consists of an ASCII text file containing a series of elements which can specify raster bitmaps, drawing commands, and text elements, so this is a mixed-type image format.
There is reportedly a pure-bitmap CMU format as well, but no details have been located on it.
