ODL (Object Description Language) is a Microsoft format used for defining OLE interfaces. It is the predecessor of MIDL (Microsoft Interface Definition Language).

Many sources, including some from Microsoft[1][2], claim that ODL stands for Object Definition Language, instead of Object Description Language. However, the preponderance of evidence says that Description is correct.

Microsoft ODL is not related to NASA's identically-named format.
