Fontographer is font design/editing software originally developed for the Macintosh by the Altsys company, later owned by Macromedia, now owned by FontLab.[1] It is considered the very first Postscript drawing program for a personal computers. [2]

The native file format for Fontographer version 3-4 is .FOG.[3][4] FOG files have the magic hex values 43666631. FOG Files can be opened in the latest versions of FontLab[5]
