Cineon file format is an image format associated with Kodak's Cineon film production system.
Cineon images (usually?) use 30-bit RGB color.

Cineon and DPX are sometimes lumped together as if they were two versions of the same format. There is some truth to that, but because they have different names and completely incompatible header formats, we opt to treat them as separate formats.
