Code Page 850 (CP 851, IBM 851, OEM 851, DOS Greek-1) is an 8-bit character encoding. It is a member of the family of MS-DOS encodings. The lower half is the same as CP437 (and ASCII), and the upper half has Greek letters and some other characters. It is intended for use with Greek, but doesn't have all the letter variants that exist in CP737, another Greek encoding. CP851 was superseded by CP869 (DOS Greek-2).
