This word processor came free with Microsoft Windows version 1.0 through 3.11, as well as Microsoft Windows NT through version 3.5. All versions were able to read and write .wri files, and later versions were also able to read and write Microsoft Word .doc files. Replaced with Microsoft WordPad with the advent of Windows 95 (which could read Write format, but couldn't save to it).
