PDL (Picture Description Language) is a vector graphics format associated with PEP (Picture Editing Package), a drawing program for DOS. PEP was developed by Trionum Inc., and distributed as shareware.

PDL format is also supported by another Trionum product, ORCHIS (Org Chart Imaging Software).

Though its name might imply otherwise, PDL is a binary format.
