Final Cut Pro X is the update to the older Final Cut Pro[1] developed by Apple. It is non-linear video editing software designed for Macintosh computers running Mac OS X.

[edit] File Information

Final Cut Pro X project files are actually folders containing all files necessary for the project. This folder appears as file with extension .fcpbundle in the Apple Bundle/Package format which can cause issues transferring projects to non-Mac systems[2] and cloud storage[3].

Events within the folder have the extension .fcpevent and are in the SQLite format.
