== Description ==

CELT (Constrained Energy Lapped Transform) is an audio compression codec designed for high-quality, low-delay audio transmission (i.e. for telephony or network music performance). It has been merged into the IETF [[Opus]] codec and is now obsolete. It should be noted that due to the work in progress nature of CELT, compatibility may not be preserved between releases.
