Agisoft is a photogrammetry software company.[1] Metashape is photogrammetry software used to create 3D models, point clouds and orthomosaic images[2]. Previously called Photoscan[3][4]. Professional Edition comes with a free viewer able to render the .OC3 and .TLS formats.

File Identification

Metashape saves project files in .PSX and .PSZ. PSX is a simple XML file which points to the project folder. PSZ files are ZIP compressed, which includes all project files except the original project images.

Within the project folder is a dense cloud file with extension .OC3. This file is a proprietary binary file with the header "4F430102". Older versions may have format with .OCT extension.

Metashape Professional can also export a proprietary tiled model .TLS. This file has a header "544C0102".[5]
