Code Page 859 (CP869, DOS 869, DOS CP869, DOS Greek-2) is an 8-bit character encoding. It is a member of the family of MS-DOS encodings intended for use with the Greek language, coming later than CP737 but not as popular as it. The lower half is the same as CP437 (and ASCII), and the upper half has Greek letters and a few other things such as box drawing characters (fewer than some of the other DOS encodings). Some positions are unassigned. All characters in ISO 8859-7 are included.
