I just don't agree with calling XMP a metaformat. It's not exactly ''wrong'' -- for example, you could think of XMP/TIFF and XMP/Exif as independent formats that are based on the XMP metaformat. But a single XMP "file" often contains both of these formats, so that thinking doesn't really work very well. [[User:Jsummers|Jsummers]] ([[User talk:Jsummers|talk]]) 00:06, 1 October 2013 (UTC)

I just don't agree with calling XMP a metaformat. It's not exactly wrong -- for example, you could think of XMP/TIFF and XMP/Exif as independent formats that are based on the XMP metaformat. But a single XMP "file" often contains both of these formats, so that thinking doesn't really work very well. Jsummers (talk) 00:06, 1 October 2013 (UTC)

Which category does it belong in? Metadata, or one of the metadata subsections of another category? Dan Tobias (talk) 05:08, 1 October 2013 (UTC)
OK, I see you put it in Metadata, so I added it to that page. Dan Tobias (talk) 05:13, 1 October 2013 (UTC)
