It's been noted that iana.org URLs do not always correspond to the MIME type. Refer to the list at [http://www.iana.org/assignments/media-types/media-types.xhtml]. The "template" column is usually the MIME type, but sometimes it is something else (e.g. image/vnd-djvu, text/vnd-curl). In those cases, the URL with the actual MIME type might return the same document (e.g. [http://www.iana.org/assignments/media-types/application/vnd-sema] vs. [http://www.iana.org/assignments/media-types/application/vnd.sema]), or a subtly different document (e.g. [http://www.iana.org/assignments/media-types/text/vnd-curl] vs. [http://www.iana.org/assignments/media-types/text/vnd.curl]), or a placeholder document (e,g, [http://www.iana.org/assignments/media-types/application/vnd-mif] vs. [http://www.iana.org/assignments/media-types/application/vnd.mif]), or it might not work at all (e.g. [http://www.iana.org/assignments/media-types/application/vnd-dxr] vs. [http://www.iana.org/assignments/media-types/application/vnd.dxr]).
