'''Pu-crunch''' (also written '''Pucrunch''') is a compression utility that creates self-decompressing data objects for use on the Commodore 64. It was developed by Pasi Ojala.

The documentation is not very clear about what it does. It looks a lot like an [[executable compression]] utility (bearing in mind that the C64 doesn't have the clearest distinction between executable and non-executable files), though it may have other uses.

Only the decompressor runs on the C64. The compression utility runs on various other platforms, usually including DOS.

== Identification ==
Undetermined. It shouldn't be too hard to identify the compressed files, but there are different versions and options to account for, and there may be other similar formats that could be mistaken for it.
