The '''mIRC scripting language''' is used with the mIRC client for the [[IRC]] chatting protocol. It is able to perform automated actions with regard to that program, such as for the setting up of &amp;quot;bots&amp;quot;. Its syntax uses blocks with curly braces (similar to [[C]] and a number of other languages), but doesn't separate statements with semicolons as many languages do.&lt;br /&gt;

Files commonly use the .mrc extension (which might be confused with unrelated [[MRC]] microscope images or [[Mixed Raster Content]] images), but can also use a .ini extension when they are intended to initialize the settings of mIRC.&lt;br /&gt;
